Lake Shore Drive

One of my favorite views of Chicago, although the quality of this shot isn't that great (I was driving and holding my camera out of my sunroof). This is Lake Shore Drive and the Gold Coast coming from the north. I'll work on getting a better one in the future.

Yes this is a dynamite experience driving south on LSD. It is one of the special features of the city. It is even written about in a song created about 20 or so years ago. Can't remember who wrote it though. Whenever I'm away from the city, I just love this drive upon my return.
An easier way to shoot this shot is from the North Avenue bridge.
If you a native of the windy city, and not living there now, this should make you very home sick!

You know, it hardly matters with such a classic view. This one makes my heart skip a beat and wish for a visit. Chicago's one of my home towns.
